Langham Hospitality Group has appointed Bob van den Oord as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from September 1, 2023.
Currently serving as the Regional Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and North America, van den Oord will succeed Brett Butcher, who will step down but retain responsibilities as CEO of the Listed Langham Hospitality Investment Ltd and within Great Eagle.
With a 20-year tenure in the company, van den Oord boasts an impressive record of leading various business units at regional and global levels.
His experience includes pivotal roles as COO and Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, where he has driven organisational transformation, steered brand direction, and enhanced operational excellence.
In his new role, van den Oord will focus on advancing the group’s diversified brands, including The Langham Hotels & Resorts, Cordis, Eaton, and Ying’nFlo.
His mandate includes spearheading the company’s growth, augmenting the Group’s global presence, improving operational efficiencies, and enriching the guest experience through innovative partnerships and digital transformations.
Dr. KS Lo, Chairman and Managing Director of Great Eagle Holdings, commended van den Oord’s exceptional strategic capabilities, operational effectiveness, and established rapport with stakeholders.

Langham Hospitality Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great Eagle Holdings, manages a distinctive collection of hotels under The Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis Hotels, Eaton, and Ying’nFlo brands.
The Group currently oversees more than 30 projects worldwide and traces its legacy back to the legendary Langham in London, Europe’s first Grand Hotel, opened in 1865.
