The luxury establishment reopened in style after a two-year closure for extensive refurbishment.
Over the last few days, the Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel, has been the epicenter of multiple events, celebrating its comeback with panache. The guest list was studded with luminaries, including Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Helen Mirren, Fan BingBing, Uma Thurman, Mads Mikkelsen, Naomi Campbell, and Brie Larson.
The Official Launch Party added to the glamour with distinguished attendees like John C. Reilly, Twiggy, Maxime Bouttier, Andrew Scott, and Freddy Carter.
Long celebrated as a haven for the stars of film and screen, the Carlton Cannes was the ideal location to host the Cannes Film Festival’s Official Opening Dinner. This followed the premiere of the highly awaited Jeanne du Barry.
A spectacular light and music show titled ‘Follow The Sun’ marked Wednesday night’s celebrations. Choreographed by renowned artistic director Lionel Hun, in collaboration with Image and Auditoire, the six-minute performance bathed the iconic façade of the Carlton Cannes in light, tracing the journey of the sun from dawn to dusk.

In synchrony with the dazzling spectacle, The Official Launch Party unfolded with over 300 guests partaking in a cocktail party and gala dinner. The venue, the property’s famed Beach Club, offered a striking view of the Cannes Bay and the historic property, adding to the allure of the night.
Carlton Cannes is the first new Regent establishment in Europe and brings the brand’s visionary experiential and design signatures to the continent. Joining hands with Regent Hong Kong, the brand’s flagship in Asia, the Carlton Cannes is leading the Regent brand into a new era.
Upcoming additions to the brand’s portfolio include Regent Bali Canggu, Regent Shanghai on the Bund, and Regent Santa Monica Beach, marking Regent’s debut in the Americas. The reimagined brand is set to leave an indelible mark on the luxury hospitality landscape.
